Adult Residential Service

Aim
For all adults living with The Mount Cargill Trust to have a meaningful and valued life by choosing the life they wish for themselves and fulfilling their potential as a person.Adult homes are based in North East Valley and Halfway Bush.
Adult residential supports provide:
- The development of skills the individual person would like and or need to live as independently as possible within the community.
- A sense of control over one's life through personal choice and aspirations being paramount and respected.
- Positive health, wellbeing and lifestyle choices.
- Social and community opportunities and inclusion.
- Belief in each person's potential.
- A sense of belonging and allowing a person to be confident with their own identity including cultural, sexual and spiritual.
- Everyone we support has their own unique person centered plan which is designed to support personal preferences, choices and aspirations along with health and behaviour supports relevant to the person.
- A service that respects and promotes the New Zealand Disability Strategy, the United Nations Convention of the Rights of Person's with Disabilities.
