Aim

For all adults living with The Mount Cargill Trust to have a meaningful and valued life by choosing the life they wish for themselves and fulfilling their potential as a person.

Adult homes are based in North East Valley and Halfway Bush.

Adult residential supports provide:

  • A sense of control over one's life through personal choice and aspirations being paramount and respected.
  • Positive health, wellbeing and lifestyle choices.
  • Social and community opportunities and inclusion.
  • Belief in each person's potential.
  • A sense of belonging and allowing a person to be confident with their own identity including cultural, sexual and spiritual.
  • Everyone we support has their own unique person centered plan which is designed to support personal preferences, choices and aspirations along with health and behaviour supports relevant to the person.
  • A service that respects and promotes the New Zealand Disability Strategy, the United Nations Convention of the Rights of Person's with Disabilities.
